My Story

I have always made things, ever since I was a child. I made arty crafty things in my time, engineery things in my work time. I was very driven and very successful in my work time, until 3 years ago when I was forced to stop. 

I had successfully lived with a chronic illness for many years, but 3 years ago the pain became far too much to manage, and I was forced to stop. I lost my work, I lost my purpose, I lost my happiness.

The only thing I could still do, when I had moments of relief, was to make things.  Making things brought my happiness back.

My Mission

Now, making things has brought back my purpose too.  My road to recovery is still a long one but in the meantime it’s now my mission to share the happiness that I have found. 

I founded WAS Designed to make products that bring happiness into your life. 

Each design is made from scratch just for you to make you smile, to bring you happiness every time you pick up your phone, and we know you pick up your phone a lot!

As a friend of my once said “Craft exists to make people happy”, and so my work exists to make people happy. I hope for you that owning my work brings you happiness in the same way that making it has for me.
